Marvelous 5 volume set of the Legends of the Babylonian Talmud, printed in side-by-side English and Hebrew text, published in New York in 1916. The books are laid out in Hebrew format, beginning “backwards” at the rear and proceeding to the “front.” Complete 5 volume set: EN JACOB, AGADA OF THE BABYLONIAN TALMUD (LEGENDS OF THE TALMUD) Rabbi Jacob Ibn Chabib, Revised and translated by Rabbi S. H. Glick. Privately printed, New York, 1916. 20.5 x 27.5 cm. Approximately 250 pages per volume. Pebbled dark brown cloth covers with blindstamped designs. Gilt lettering on spine.
